Tory Burch : American Fashion Designer, Philanthropist and Businesswoman

Born on 17th June, 1966 Tory Burch has a lot of styling and fashion sense inherited from her parents. She studied art history from University of Pennsylvania and was graduated in 1988. Burch started her fashion designing career at Benetton in King of Prussia Mall. Slowly, she started working with famous designers like Vera Wang, Narciso Rodriguez and Ralph Lauren. ‘Preppy-boho’ and ‘preppy-bohemian luxe’ are her fashion styles. Her designs are easy to wear and very popular. She is also known for listing y-short under fashionable clothing items.
Her personal life was however, not very successful. She first married William Macklowe, son of the Harry B. Macklowe but parted ways within a year. In 1996, she again married J. Christopher Burch and has three children from him.
Followed by a downtown boutique in Manhattan, she launched her first collection. In 2004, her brand ‘TRB by Tory Burch’’ was released but later was renamed to ‘Tory Burch’. Over the passage of time, the company had seen tremendous growth and was expanded worldwide including 83 store locations. She runs a company that offers fashionable clothes as well as eye-wear, jewellery, shoes and handbags.  In 2008, she won ‘Accessory designer’ award and in 2007, ‘Accessory Brand Launch’ from Council of Fashion Designers of America.
